Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp of important wheat gluten
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed powder
  • 1 tbsp applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

  1. Mix the water, yeast and sugar in a small bowl with a fork – let stand until foaming. If the mixture does not foam, you may want to start from scratch.
  2. Mix all remaining ingredients (except applesauce) in a large mixing bowl. Add foam yeast and applesauce. If the dough is too sticky to be treated with your fingers, add a tablespoon of flour. If it is too dry to hold together, add a teaspoon or more. Knead the dough for a minute or two.
  3. Leave the dough in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size. Preheat the oven to 415 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Stretch and spread the dough to fill the pizza pot.
  5. Cover your favorite sauces and toppings.
  6. Bake the pizza at 415 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes, or until the dough is cooked and turns golden brown.
